We are committed to doing the right thing, championing sustainable, meaningful change.

Our approach is guided by a clear principle: the value of our contribution is measured not by hours recorded, but by the quality and lasting impact of the work we do.

Our pro bono practice

We provide pro bono legal services across areas of significant and unmet legal need. Delivering practical legal assistance that creates lasting change and supports leading community legal services, not-for-profit organisations and community organisations across Australia.

Why we do it

We believe access to justice is essential to a fair and functioning society. Pro bono work enables us to apply our expertise where it can make a genuine difference — supporting individuals facing systemic barriers and strengthening frontline community services.

How we deliver it

Our national strategy focusses on depth, alignment and outcomes. We direct resources to areas of significant and unmet legal need – where our involvement can shift policy, advance rights or build organisational capability.

Every lawyer receives recognition for up to 100 hours of pro bono work each year, reinforcing the importance of this work across the firm.

Success of our pro bono work is measured by outcomes: individual rights protected or advanced, contributions to law reform and policy change, community legal sector capacity built and the strength of our long-term partnerships with referral organisations.
