We focus on the areas where we can create meaningful change: reducing emissions, mindful use of resources, improving transparency in our supply chain and contributing to a more sustainable legal sector. Our commitments are certified, measurable and grounded in national standards.

Sustainability strategy

Our approach centres on long-term environmental responsibility backed by recognised certifications and transparent reporting. We are certified carbon neutral by Climate Active (at both the Service and Organisation level), with a pathway to Net Zero by 2030.

We have been members of the Australian Legal Sector Alliance (AusLSA) since 2005, an industry-led association that works collaboratively to promote sustainable practices across the legal sector.

Our guiding principles

Emissions, energy and resource efficiency

Our carbon neutral certification is underpinned by the Climate Active Carbon Neutral Standard, aligned to international GHG protocols and ISO 14064.

All of our offices are powered by 100% renewable electricity, with several holding a 6-star Green Star accreditation and a 5.5-star NABERS energy rating, ensuring our physical spaces meet the highest environmental standards. Ongoing investment in energy-efficient and green-rated office spaces ensures we continue to improve our environmental performance each year. Combined with digitised workflows and responsible procurement, we continue to reshape how a commercial law firm can operate with fewer resources and less waste.

Ethical supply chain and modern slavery

We are committed to ensuring our operations and supply chain are free from modern slavery. Our Modern Slavery Statement outlines our due diligence processes, supplier assessments, contractual obligations and staff training. Although we are a national law firm, we remain vigilant, transparent and continuous in our improvement to reduce and remove the risk of modern slavery in our supply chain.

Certifications and reporting

We align our reporting with recognised industry standards and national commitments.
