Gadens has advised Tipple (Tipple) on the sale of a majority interest to the 7-Eleven Group (7-Eleven).

Partnering with independent bottle shops to deliver alcohol to customers in 30 minutes, since launching in 2015, Tipple has become Australia’s largest on-demand alcohol delivery business. The majority investment by 7-Eleven, which operates one of the most prominent convenience stores nationally, presents numerous opportunities for both businesses to expand their capability, particularly for convenience customers.

Gadens was engaged to advise on all aspects of the transaction for Tipple.

Deal significance:

Tipple is driven by its proprietary technology platform that has been developed in-house by Tipple’s founders and engineering team. The technology has been designed to allow seamless integrations with partner stores and the ability to facilitate crowdsourced deliveries on a national scale.
