Gadens has advised Able Australia Services (Able Australia) on its successful merger with Mosaic Support Services (Tas) Inc (Mosaic).

Able Australia is a leading disability services provider with a long-standing history of delivering safe and high-quality support to people with disabilities across Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland and the ACT. Mosaic, as Tasmania’s largest provider of disability and children’s services, is well-regarded for its deep connection to the community and its commitment to exceptional care.

The merger aligns with both organisations’ purposes and values, presenting an exciting opportunity to create a stronger, more sustainable future. By integrating their resources, knowledge and expertise, the merger enhances their capacity to innovate, expand service offerings and improve operational efficiencies.

With a robust local presence complemented by a national footprint, the combined organisation will support 600 clients in Tasmania, employ 900 staff across Tasmania and contribute $83m to the Tasmanian economy.

Gadens advised Able Australia on all aspects of the transaction.

Commenting on the transaction, CEO of Able Australia Lynette McKeown said:

“The experience of the Gadens team ensured a smooth and robust process, resulting in a successful merger. Gadens consistently provided robust legal advice yet understood the commercial context. I would certainly seek their advice and use their services again.”
