Biography

Jim specialises in all aspects of construction law, delivering tailored advice on project delivery models, risk allocation and contract frameworks for large scale developments. He works closely with clients from project inception through to delivery and dispute resolution, providing strategic guidance on contract structuring, risk management and compliance.

Jim has represented clients on some of Australia’s largest infrastructure projects, including the multi-billion-dollar NorthConnex tunnel development and Gold Coast Rapid Transit project. His expertise spans negotiation, mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation.

Beyond his legal practice, Jim contributes to the community as a non-executive director and board chair of UnitingCare Queensland. He is admitted to practice across multiple jurisdictions and is an accredited Grade 3 Arbitrator, as well as an adjudicator under the Security of Payment Act. Jim is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. His combination of technical skill, strategic insight and practical judgment positions him as a trusted adviser to clients on high stakes matters.
