Biography
Working with major landlords and developers to navigate complex legal and commercial challenges, John is known for ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.
John’s work extends to advising peak industry bodies, including the Shopping Centre Council of Australia and the Property Council of Australia. This involves contributing to legislative reforms that shape industry standards, including retail lease legislation reviews in QLD and NSW, the 2023 major review of the Property Law Act Qld and illicit tobacco legislation. As a Member of the Property Council of Australia Queensland Division Council (2024 and 2025) and its Queensland Retail Committee, he contributes directly to improving industry policy and retail property standards at a state level.

Acted on the leasing and tenancy and property management related development issues in the $670m redevelopment of Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, QLD and the $440m redevelopment of Macquarie Centre in NSW. -
Seymour Group
Acted on all aspects (excluding planning) of a $1.5bn project in QLD, which will sit on a 1.8ha site and comprises several residential (more than 800 apartments) and commercial towers. It will also include more than 10,000m2 of retail and commercial area. -
