Biography
Mitchell guides clients through data security obligations, intellectual property licensing, procurement processes and regulatory compliance. His expertise covers ICT procurement, privacy impact assessments, contract negotiations and governance frameworks.
He regularly assists Australian and state government agencies, as well as corporate entities with strategies that balance innovation and compliance and has advised on some of the Commonwealth Government’s most significant projects. He also advises organisations across the consumer, retail and leisure sectors on technology, privacy and commercial arrangements.
Before entering the legal profession, Mitchell worked as an IT specialist supporting both private and public sectors. This technical background gives him a unique perspective when advising on complex technology arrangements, enabling him to deliver practical, commercially focused solutions.
