Biography
Sinead has depth of experience across regulated and non-regulated sectors, including financial services, healthcare, retail and FMCG, with a strong focus on digital technologies such as cloud computing, AI and Fintech (including payments).
As a dual Australian and England & Wales qualified lawyer, with an Irish background, she regularly supports her domestic clients on complex and strategic technology and data related initiatives, as well as international clients on inward investments in the Australian technology and digital space, in each case helping her clients to navigate Australia's complex digital and data regulatory frameworks. Sinead is also a specialist in global data compliance obligations under laws such as the UK DPA, DUAA and the UK/EU GDPR, structuring strategic commercial arrangements and business strategies to align with applicable regulatory requirements.
Sinead's extensive cross-border experience is complemented by senior in-house roles earlier in her career, including notably as Senior Legal Counsel at Thales Group in London, where she advised the Board of one of the world's largest technology and security solutions providers. Her combination of Australian and international private practice and in-house experience enables her to deliver commercially focused advice that balances legal risk with business strategy across multiple jurisdictions.
