We advise on a broad range of procurement models, including ECI, EPC, D&C, collaborative contracting models, PPP and managing contractor models, helping clients establish contractual frameworks that support successful project outcomes.
During delivery, we advise on variations, delays, defects, insurance claims and evolving project risks. Where disputes arise, we act in adjudication, litigation, arbitration and expert determination proceedings across all forms of project disputes.
We are immersed in the construction and infrastructure sector, with a strong understanding of how deals are structured, where risk sits and what market practice looks like. We benchmark positions quickly, identify issues early and provide advice that is both legally rigorous and commercially realistic.
Working closely with our real estate, environment and planning, finance and disputes teams, we deliver an integrated service that addresses procurement strategy, delivery risk and contractual structuring through a coordinated approach from the outset.

Advising on all construction aspects of the landmark $1.8bn Halo tower in Sydney's CBD, a proposed 55-storey hybrid timber skyscraper set to become the world’s tallest hybrid timber building. This includes negotiating the ECI and head construction contract, as well as the full suite of consultant agreements. -
Data centres
Advising on the delivery of two major hyperscale data centre developments in Sydney and Perth, valued in excess of $100m, including the negotiation of bespoke head contracts and the implementation of an extensive subcontract and supply chain framework. -
City of Gold Coast
Acted on the $1.2bn PPP delivery of the Gold Coast Light Rail Project, one of Australia's largest urban transport infrastructure projects. This included advising negotiating the full suite of project and interface arrangements and managing risk allocation across a complex multi-stakeholder delivery model. -
Sterling Global
Advising on the construction delivery and contractual frameworks for the $420m State Bank House redevelopment in Melbourne’s CBD, including the ECI agreement, head design and construct contract and key consultant agreements, as well as procurement strategy, risk allocation and contractual issues. -
PDG Corporation
Advised on construction and delivery of the $1.5bn No. 1 Queens Bridge development in Southbank, including the preparation and negotiation of the design and construct contract, building contracts and the complete suite of consultant agreements for the project. -
South East Water
Advised on the delivery framework and construction contracts for $75m of water treatment plant upgrades at the Longwarry and Lang Lang facilities, procured via a bespoke ‘Design, Construct & Prove’ delivery methodology. -
International hotel developer
Advising on a $50m cross-border construction dispute involving a major hotel development in Fiji, addressing contractor performance, insolvency risk and complex contractual issues while developing a pathway to project completion. -
International façade contractor
Acting in a $120m construction dispute in the Supreme Court of NSW involving façade and cladding works on a major education infrastructure project, addressing complex building defects, contractor claims and liability issues under the Design and Building Practitioners Act. -
