Introduction of new home care agreements to comply with legislative commencing 27 February 2017

6 February 2017

We are pleased to announce that we are rolling out a new Home Care Agreement in anticipation of the legislative amendments to home care which will commence on 27 February 2017.

In broad terms, the reforms to home care will see greater flexibility given to the consumer to move between home care providers. Further, there will be significant changes to how unspent funds are managed by approved providers.

Providers will need to ensure that their Home Care Agreements are updated to comply with the new legislative provisions.

Specifically, amendments to the User Rights Principles 2014 will commence on 27 February 2017 and will alter the requirements for Home Care Agreements.

Our Home Care Agreement has been updated to ensure it is compliant with the new legislative requirements, accessible to consumers and easy to read. We include flowcharts and diagrams to ensure that key information is distinguished for consumers.
