With a history dating back to 1847 as an independent Australian law firm that provides top quality legal services, Gadens has operated in the Sydney market since 1928. Over this time the legal landscape has changed considerably and our firm has developed through a number of transitions and grown in size and reputation.
Gadens continues to evolve within this ever-changing landscape in
response to the needs of our clients, providing innovative solutions and an
outstanding experience. Our recent evolution in Sydney has heralded exciting advancements;
and we are not finished yet.
Sydney office
relocation
On 11 June 2019 Gadens will move into new office space at the iconic MLC
building at 19 Martin Place in Sydney.
“The firm’s rapid growth in Sydney has seen Gadens look for new office space not only large enough to accommodate our ongoing expansion, but that is adaptable to modern collaborative ways of working,” said CEO Grant Scott-Hayward.
With a fit-out designed with collaboration at its heart – driven through
technology and purpose-built spaces for client engagement and working
environments that support team collaboration – this will ensure clients receive
the dedicated service that Gadens is known and respected for.
“An office move such as this gives us an excellent platform to continue to provide clients with the highest levels of client service nationally,” continues Grant. “Change presents opportunity and for Gadens this move is a great step for the future as a preeminent, independent Australian law firm”.
The substantial expansion of Gadens in Sydney has seen the firm’s list
of prominent partners grow significantly, including:
Archie Smith – Property
Brett Feltham – Employment Advisory
Dermott Lynch – Commercial Litigation & Disputes
Donna Bartlett – Intellectual Property & Technology
James Roland – Banking, Insolvency & Restructuring
Kathy Merrick – Commercial Litigation & Disputes
Michael Bampton – Property & Construction
Paul Lewis – Private Clients & Family Law
Renae Suttor – Corporate and Institutional Banking & Finance
Robert Tracy – Corporate Advisory
This move is part of a broader strategy that will see the Gadens offices in Adelaide relocate in June 2019, and in Melbourne relocating to Collins Arch at the beginning of 2020.
