Ian is a consultant of Lavan, an independent law firm in Perth operating in association with Gadens.

He practises primarily in employment and workplace relations and the education sector. He has been continuously recognised by Best Lawyers since 2014 in the area of employment and labour law.

Ian has represented employers from the public and private sectors in the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission, Fair Work Australia, Equal Opportunity Commission, Australian Human Rights Commission and courts on matters including unfair dismissals, contractual disputes, award breaches and discrimination and disability claims.  Ian also provides advice to employers on occupational safety and health issues in the workplace.
