Matt has broad experience in complex commercial disputes and investigations and specialises in commercial litigation, dispute resolution, corporate insolvency and the regulation of casinos and wagering. Matt has expertise advising large public and private clients through to start-up businesses on all manner of contentious issues including corporations and financial services matters, corporate insolvency, contractual disputes and casinos & wagering. Matt has particular expertise representing individual directors, officers and executives in the course of regulatory investigations and related litigation.

Some of Matt’s recent experience includes:

• representing directors and officers in large and complex corporate collapses, including in respect of the Arrium Group; Western Desert and NewSat;
• various confidential engagements representing both corporates and individual directors, officers and employees in the course of regulatory investigations; and
• acting in a broad range of commercial disputes before the Supreme and Federal Courts, including class actions, as well as proceedings before the Takeovers Panel.

Matt is a strategic thinker and commercially minded, which allows him to add value and provide practical advice on all aspects of investigations and commercial litigation.
