Megan King is a senior pro bono and social impact lawyer with more than 15 years’ experience across top‑tier private practice, community legal services and the justice sector. She is known for designing and leading large‑scale pro bono programs, partnerships and law reform initiatives that improve access to justice for marginalised communities.

Megan heads the Gadens pro bono practice, drawing on deep experience in discrimination, support for First Nations organisations, economic empowerment, financial abuse and international human rights. She values collaboration and works closely with colleagues and pro bono clients to build strong, sustainable partnerships with community organisations.

Her work includes developing firm‑wide pro bono strategies, managing key client relationships, supervising lawyers and secondees, and collaborating with commercial clients to deliver innovative access‑to‑justice projects.

Before joining Gadens, Megan held a senior role in a pro bono practice within a global law firm and held senior leadership roles at Justice Connect, including as Principal Lawyer of Seniors Law and as a Health Justice Partnership lawyer embedded within major hospital networks.

Megan is a Director of the Access to Justice Tech Network, where she works to strengthen collaboration between the pro bono, community and technology sectors to support technology‑driven solutions that improve access to justice.
