Michael specialises in commercial litigation and insurance law. He regularly acts for clients in a range of disputes relating to corporate control, director duties, commercial contracts, complex trusts, misleading or deceptive conduct, professional negligence, property (both real and intellectual), construction, and workplace relations. He has particular experience acting for both insurers and insured parties across complex coverage and liability disputes.

Michael thrives in high-stakes litigation and has particular expertise in highly publicised disputes that concern reputational risk. Priding himself on his creativity, attention to detail and litigation strategy, Michael has been recognised with several industry accolades, including as a Rising Star (Australasian Lawyer, 2024) and a finalist in Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 (2019 and 2020).
