Patrick specialises in environment and planning, compulsory land acquisition, energy, resources and mining. He has more than 25 years’ experience practising in property development, planning approvals, environmental and water management, government policy and regulation. Patrick has extensive experience acting for clients in the NSW Land and Environment Court particularly in relation to planning appeals, tree disputes, valuation and compensation, judicial review and environmental offences.
Patrick’s expertise includes obtaining project approvals and overseeing the preparation of project applications and environmental assessments. He regularly advises and acts for a range of clients in relation to property and planning matters, environmental regulation including incident response, water use management, contaminated land remediation and conservation as well as mining regulatory issues. He also advises and acts for schools, mining companies, infrastructure companies and property developers. He works closely with many State Government agencies, as well as having previously worked in the public sector as a senior policy advisory to the New South Wales Minister for the Environment, advising on environmental regulation, waste, forestry, protected area management and mining.
