Tamica is a partner of Lavan, an independent law firm in Perth operating in association with Gadens.

Tamica is a Chartered Building Professional who has extensive experience in medium to large-scale commercial construction and infrastructure projects throughout Australia.

Tamica’s experience enables her to provide clients with advice during all stages of a project from planning and development through to completion. Tamica’s work involves:

• Preparation of tender documents and conducting risk analysis for projects. Drafting and negotiating all forms of construction contracts including work agreements, supply agreements, service agreements, subcontracts and consultancy agreements.
• Providing strategic advice on claims management and contract disputes.
• Preparing and responding to rapid adjudications under the various Security for Payment legislation; and representing parties at arbitration, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
• Representing parties in the Supreme Court of Western Australia, District Court and State Administrative Tribunal in construction disputes.

Tamica is a partner in Lavan’s Construction and Infrastructure team. She is the current Vice President and WA National Councillor of the Australian Institute of Building and was also the former WA Director of the National Association of Women in Construction.
