Tony is a Partner in our Property, Construction & Planning Group. He has a broad range of experience in relation to all aspects of commercial property law including dealing with complex property transactions, advising financiers with respect to property acquisitions and acting on behalf of receivers and managers in the divestment of assets.

He has acted for numerous developers, listed property trusts and industrial property owners throughout Victoria and Australia. He also has an in depth knowledge of subdivision and owners corporation matters including the Owners Corporation Act 2006.

Tony holds degrees in Law and Science and a diploma in Applied Finance with the Security Institute of Australia.

Tony is an Accredited Property Law Specialist with the Law Institute of Victoria. He is a committee member of the Property and Environmental Law Section of the Law Institute of Victoria and a member of the Property Council of Australia.

Tony has been nominated by peers as a “Best Lawyer” in the 2016 and 2017 awards in the area of Real Property Law. Tony has also been recommended by Doyle’s Guide in the area of Property and Real Estate Lawyers in Victoria.

Specific assignments

  • Acting for property trusts in the acquisition and disposal of major commercial and industrial sites in Victoria.
  • Advising and arranging sales of property for financial institutions after the appointment of a receiver and manager and mortgagee in possession.
  • Acting and advising companies and rural property owners in relation to the acquisition of rural land including acquisition of vineyards.
  • Coordination and arranging divestment of major property sites throughout Australia in conjunction with business sales.
  • Facilitating and arranging due diligence of properties for acquiring companies throughout Victoria and Australia.
  • Advising in relation to off the plan subdivision contracts and subdivision owners corporation matters generally.
