Gadens has strengthened its Financial Services and Regulatory practice in Brisbane with the re-appointment of partner Matthew Bode.
Bode is an experienced lawyer with over 30 years’ legal experience having worked in major law firms in London, Cayman Islands, Hong Kong and Sydney.
Bode’s experience includes advising on funds management and regulatory issues, institutional banking, and international financial transactions across various industry sectors.
Bode first worked with Gadens from 2010-2014 as a banking and finance partner, and subsequently pursued a consulting role working in various senior in-house legal roles for ASX-listed corporations. Bode also took time to undertake a private equity and venture capital course at Harvard Business School, and graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.
Gadens’ Executive Chairman, Paul Spiro, said he was thrilled with Bode’s return as a partner as his extensive experience both in private practice and in senior in-house roles makes him an asset to the firm’s busy Financial Services and Regulatory practice.
