National firm Gadens has bolstered its Corporate Advisory Team with the appointment of Robert Tracy and Edward (Ted) Nixey as partners in its Corporate Advisory Group in Sydney. Robert and Ted join Gadens from Henry Davis York, and bring with them a team comprising Breanna Davies (Special Counsel), Michael Fitzpatrick (Lawyer), Julie Beatty and Jodi Griffin (Administrative Assistants).

Robert and Ted’s appointments follow the recent announcements that Brett Feltham (Employment Advisory), James Roland (Banking & Finance), Kathy Merrick (Disputes) and Dermott Lynch (Disputes) have also joined Gadens as partners in Sydney.

Robert Tracy was Head of the Corporate and M&A Group at Henry Davis York, and brings with him significant expertise spanning corporate transactions, competition and consumer law, in addition to in-bound foreign investment. He is an accomplished and well-respected practitioner, and has extensive expertise in acquisitions and disposals, commercial arrangements, joint ventures, investment structures and capital raisings, as well as corporate governance and directors’ duties advice.

Ted Nixey is well-regarded by his clients, and brings considerable Australian and international experience to Gadens from private practice and in-house roles, particularly within the transport and logistics, health and aged care, and technology sectors. He has proven expertise in mergers and acquisitions, primary and secondary capital raisings, corporate restructuring, commercial contracts, joint ventures and corporate governance.
