Particularly strong and efficient, the sheer size of our shopping centre practice enables us to handle high volume retail leasing and as such, we regularly advise on the negotiation, drafting, settling and registering of all documentation relating to major, mini-major and specialty retail tenants as well as advice on complex and day-to-day management issues, administrative issues and compliance with retail legislation across all jurisdictions.

We act for landlords of an extensive range of commercial and industrial leasing matters including CBD office buildings, large scale warehouses, cargo and freight handling infrastructure, motor vehicle storage and processing services, storage areas, wharves, container parks, logistical centres and intermodal transport terminals. Our commercial leasing specialists have been involved in many of the largest office leasing deals in Australia in recent years.

Our Lease Disputes Team has an unrivalled depth of experience all types of disputes including retail, commercial and industrial lease disputes, contractual disputes, land tax valuations, insolvency and debt recovery. Our range of property debt recovery and leasing disputes services includes advising on complex and day-to-day property management and administrative issues; preparing and issuing letters of demand, notices to remedy, notices of termination and notices of re-entry; preparing, negotiating and finalising terms of settlement; advising on prospects of, issuing, defending and managing debt recovery proceedings; representation at mediations and advocacy in complex leasing disputes; enforcing judgements; winding up proceedings; providing advice in relation to tenant insolvency; and preparing and issuing bankruptcy notices and related proceedings.
